The Promised Gift – God Keeps His Word

Published December 21, 2025

Christmas is filled with anticipation—waiting for gatherings, traditions, and moments we hope will live up to expectations. But long before Christmas morning ever came, humanity was already waiting. Waiting for hope. Waiting for rescue. Waiting for God to move.

The story of Christmas reminds us that God never rushes and never forgets. When Jesus was born, it wasn’t a last-minute decision—it was a promise fulfilled. And that same God who kept His word then is still faithful today.

“But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth His Son…” — Galatians 4:4

Christmas is God reminding us that He always keeps His promises. Long before Jesus was born in Bethlehem, God spoke His coming through prophets and promises. And when the time was exactly right—not early, not late—Jesus arrived.

We live in a world where promises are often broken, but the birth of Jesus proves something foundational about God: He can be trusted.

Every word He has spoken finds its “yes” in Christ. If God was faithful then, He will be faithful now.

Whatever season you’re walking through, Christmas invites you to trust the God who finishes what He starts.

Reflect:
What promise of God do you need to believe again today?

Respond (Prayer):
“Lord, thank You for being faithful. Help me trust You even when I don’t see the outcome yet.”
